My New Bed – It’s PINK !

The single-parent mother of this precious little girl wrote to thank us for her daughter’s new bed and to express her gratitude for the help she received from HNFB. As she begins a new life here in Mount Vernon, the assistance we were able to give her really meant a lot to get her started on her own. She declares she will give back as soon as she is able.
First Fridays on the Square in Mt. Vernon

Summertime means First Friday nights on the square in Mount Vernon. HopeNow Furniture Bank is glad to join in the festivity with a display table. It is a great opportunity to get to meet people of our community and spread the word about our mission here in Knox County. June 6th was a beautiful evening and the square was bustling with activity. The next First Friday will be July 4th. We’ll be looking to see you there!
It’s the end of another college year, and making way for new furnishings, Kenyon College of Gambier, OH recently donated 80+ mattresses, springs and bed frames to HopeNow Furniture Bank. This donation couldn’t have come at a better time as we were down to our last beds to give to clients. Volunteer workers made several trips out to Kenyon to pick up truckloads of the furniture. Then it was organized in our warehouse as directed by our hard working warehouse manager, Bob Ready. Appointments have already been scheduled for clients to receive these beds. We are all so thankful!
