Mount Vernon News Highlights HNFB
June 11, 2018
On Thursday, May 3, we had the privilege of introducing reporter Callan Pugh of the Mount Vernon News to our warehouse, our operation, and our wonderful crew of volunteers. She came prepared, having looked at our website and formulated some excellent questions. We were all enthused to show her about and tell her our story. I think she caught some of our passion, because she wrote an excellent article for her newspaper.
If you missed it in print, you can still read the article online.
Our thanks to Callan for helping to spread the good news about HopeNow Furniture Bank and our mission of helping those in need in Knox County.
Bluebird Feeder Boxes Available!
June 11, 2018
Gary Palm and his crew are busy building bluebird feeder boxes at our warehouse wood shop. Bluebirds love mealworms, dried or otherwise, and other treats. They can be trained to use the box and then their food is not stolen by other birds. The boxes have a removable Plexiglass front.
1. Leave the lid open and remove the Plexiglass side.
2. Insert Plexiglass side.
3. Close lid so that only the bluebirds can get the mealworms and other snacks.

The boxes are available for a $20 donation to HopeNow Furniture Bank.
If you would like one, please email your request to 2hopenow@nullgmail.com and include your phone number.
We will let you know when it’s ready to be picked up.
