We will have a huge amount of varied household items, including dishes, linens, glassware, furniture, crafts, Christmas items, bird houses and nesting boxes, ETC. Low prices!
No public restrooms. All children must be in the care of a responsible adult.
Free parking.

Our woodworking Santas are busy making all kinds of wooden toys, decorative pieces, and useful household items. We will be present at two community events where these items will be sold. The first is the Winter Sanctuary Craft Benefit to be held Nov. 9, 2019, from 10am to 3pm at the YMCA Athletic Center in Mount Vernon. During the Mount Vernon Christmas Festival, we will be at the Jinglebell Marketplace Craft Show on Saturday, December 7th at the Knox County Memorial Building. When you purchase items at these events, you will be supporting our mission and others and also be taking home a quality, hand crafted item. That’s a win for everyone! Be sure to mark your calendar for these events. Come and enjoy the holiday fun!
Nov. 27: Open House
Have you ever wondered what the HopeNow Furniture Bank organization really looks like? Would you like to tour our warehouse and meet some of our volunteers? This is your chance! On #GivingTuesday, November 27th, we will be celebrating by having Open House at our warehouse at 1025 South Main in Mount Vernon. We will be giving tours, having silent auctions, give aways, and snacks. It is a time to meet and greet staff, volunteers and other supporters. We will be glad to accept donations of clean, usable furniture, new or clean and gently used bed linens, kitchen supplies, and of course, monetary donations to support our continued work. Come between 9:30 and 12:00 Noon. Our regular working hours will be conducted during the afternoon from 1-3:30 after the Open House. We would be happy to see you there and to share our mission with you.
Nov. 6, 2018: Warehouse Reopening
After the renovation work that caused us to close the warehouse for several weeks, we announce our reopening for Tuesday, Nov. 6th, regular hours of 1-3:30 p.m. for client appointments and drop off donations.
Looking ahead during the next two months, there are other dates to be aware of:
- • The warehouse will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 22nd.
- • The last day of client appointments before the holiday closing is Thursday, Dec.20th.
- • The warehouse will be closed for the holidays from Dec. 21 – Jan. 7th and will reopen for regular hours on Tuesday, Jan. 8th.
